Our patented sensor bolts look like conventional machine bolts with a pin in the head area. In terms of mechanical strength and appearance, PiezoBolts correspond to common bolt norms. Various details making them both: high-quality and valuable sensors

The connector is matched to the individual operating conditions of the PiezoBolt. ConSenses force measuring bolts are robust, easy to use and capable of resolving force signals from single-digit Newton range up to 100x10³ Newtons.

Dynamic loads are determined and transferred in real time by means of high precision elementary sensors, which are protected by highly robust fasteners. Due to their features as a fastener, a defined force flux is conducted over the elementary sensors and is detected.

Characteristics and superstructure

  1. Mechanically, PiezoBolts behave like conventional machine bolts.
  2. The connector embedded in the bolt head features a rugged design, thus a clearance of only 11 mm above the bolt head is needed in order to allow for an accurate measurement of acting forces and loads. Hence, PiezoBolts fit into counter bore cylinders starting from the fourth row.
  3. Piezo elementary sensors are mechanically preloaded from the inside, avoiding creeping or aging that might occur when using plastics.
